Is it just me or are automatic paper towel dispensers a bit over-rated? Feeling like you have to do some sort of ancient, tribal dance in order to get the thing to just produce the desired towel. Half the time my hands are dry by the time the stupid thing works. Not to mention when the planets do align just right, and the long anticipated paper product emerges from its slumber, it comes out in the tiniest of portions. Fine if you're a hobbit, but usually only enough to dry like 3 fingers. Just let me pull the towel out by hand. I can do it. I don't mind, really.
Thus completes my rant against automatic paper towel dispenses. Feel free to post any of your own trivial frustrations. It'll be therapeutic. I know I feel better.
Mac users...they're all cliquey and arrogant and they audaciously think they're better than everyone else...frustrating

ReplyDeleteHow about those stinking automatic faucets that dispense five seconds of scalding water, insufficient to actually soap up and rinse hands? Or the automatic flushers at the airport? They always flush on me as I am walking into the can, or sitting on the toilet. I usually have to actually touch the "sensor" on the automatic paper towel dispensers to get it to work, which really defeats the purpose, as I'm sure tons of other people's germs are on that same spot....!
ReplyDeleteoh jamie they take 2 seconds to come out..you just hold your hand by the red light. It's really not that hard! I doubt your hand is dry by then. I think it is a very good invention. I hate when i have to touch something to get the towel to come out, do you know how many germs you are touching when you do that? yuck.
