For whatever reason, doing the read through the Bible in a year has worked for me the past 3 years. Just finished today and looking forward to starting it all over again tomorrow. And yes, I definitely get behind and find myself catching up at times. And yes, some parts are easier to read than others. The biggest thing is to just get time in God's Word and as we do our desire for it seems to grow...at least that's been my experience.
